Introduction
This Subscription & Billing Policy governs your use of Smart School App ("the Platform"), a multi-tenant School Management SaaS operated by Raei Technologies ("we", "us", "our") from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. By registering, subscribing to, or otherwise accessing the Platform you agree to this document. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.
Plans
We offer three subscription options:
- 14-Day Free Trial: full access, no card required, converts to a paid plan only if you choose to subscribe.
- Monthly Plan: billed at the start of each calendar month, cancellable at any time.
- Annual Plan: billed once per year, offered at a discount compared to twelve monthly payments.
Billing Cycles
Monthly subscriptions renew on the same calendar day each month. Annual subscriptions renew on the anniversary of the initial paid subscription. Invoices are generated on the day of renewal.
GST and Taxes
All fees are quoted exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). GST is added at the rate prescribed by the Government of India at the time of billing. Schools with a valid GSTIN may add it to their billing profile so that it appears on every invoice for input tax credit purposes.
Invoice Generation
A GST-compliant tax invoice is generated automatically for every successful payment and is available for download from the school administrator panel. Invoices carry the school's registered name, address, GSTIN (where provided) and a unique invoice number.
Automatic Renewals
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle so that service continues without interruption. Schools may disable auto-renewal at any time from the billing settings; the current period will continue until it ends and no further charges will be made.
Failed Payments
If a scheduled payment fails, we will automatically retry up to three times over the next seven days and notify the school administrator by email.
Grace Period
After a failed payment the subscription enters a grace period of seven (7) calendar days during which full access to the Platform continues. If payment is not received by the end of the grace period the account is moved to a read-only state.
Late Payment
Accounts in read-only state may be restored at any time within the following twenty-three (23) days by clearing outstanding dues. No late-payment penalty is levied for the first occurrence; repeated failures may attract a reasonable reactivation charge which will be disclosed in advance.
Subscription Upgrades
A school may upgrade from Monthly to Annual, or from a lower tier to a higher tier, at any time. The change takes effect immediately. The unused portion of the current plan is credited pro-rata against the new plan.
Subscription Downgrades
A school may downgrade to a lower plan effective from the next billing cycle. Downgrades do not entitle the school to a partial refund of the current cycle.
