Introduction
This Data Ownership Policy governs your use of Smart School App ("the Platform"), a multi-tenant School Management SaaS operated by Raei Technologies ("we", "us", "our") from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. By registering, subscribing to, or otherwise accessing the Platform you agree to this document. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.
Schools Own Their Data
All student, parent, staff, academic, financial and administrative records that a school creates or uploads to the Platform remain the property of the school at all times.
Raei Technologies Does Not Own Customer Data
We act only as a custodian and data processor. We do not claim ownership of, sell, license, or repurpose any customer data. We do not use student or parent data to train any machine learning model.
Data Export
Schools can export their data at any time from the Reports and Data Export sections of the school administrator panel. Standard formats include CSV and PDF. On written request we will also provide a structured export of the school's data at no charge.
Data Deletion Process
A school may request permanent deletion of its data at any time by writing to support@raeitech.com from the registered administrator email. Deletion is executed within thirty (30) days of the request; encrypted backups purge on the standard 60-day rolling schedule.
Data Portability
We support the principle of data portability. On request we will provide the school's data in a commonly used, machine-readable format so that the school can migrate to another provider without unreasonable effort.
Backup Retention
See the Service Level Agreement for full backup retention windows. Backups are used only for disaster recovery and are never accessed for any other purpose.
Account Closure Procedures
On account closure we follow the sequence described in the Cancellation Policy: 30 days read-only access, then permanent deletion from production, then backup destruction on the rolling 60-day schedule.
