Child Data Protection Policy

This Child Data Protection Policy governs your use of Smart School App ("the Platform"), a multi-tenant School Management SaaS operated by Raei Technologies ("we", "us", "our") from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. By registering, subscribing to, or otherwise accessing the Platform you agree to this document. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.

Because the Platform is used by schools, a significant portion of the data we process relates to children. Their safety is our highest priority.

Student records are treated as sensitive personal data. Access is strictly limited to authorised school staff, the student, and the student's verified parents or guardians.

In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023, verifiable parental consent is required before any personal data of a child (below 18 years of age) is processed. The school, as the Data Fiduciary, is responsible for obtaining this consent through its enrolment process and for maintaining records of consent.

• Obtain and retain evidence of parental consent for all enrolled students.
• Collect only the minimum information necessary for education and administration.
• Not use student data for advertising, profiling or any commercial purpose.
• Respond promptly to parent requests to access or correct their child's information.

The Platform is designed around the principle of data minimisation. Optional fields remain optional. Sensitive fields (for example medical remarks) are collected only where the school has chosen to enable them.

Student data is retained for as long as the student is enrolled with the school and for such further period as required by education regulations or school policy. On account closure the retention rules in the Data Ownership Policy apply.

• No behavioural advertising, no third-party trackers targeting minors.
